Description | The Tropical Diseases Committee of the Royal Society has considered the candidates for the Tata Professorships. They have decided to nominate Professor Charles Atwood Kofoid of the University of California to the Chair of Protozoology; and Neil Fairley Hamilton of the Hall Research Institute, Melbourne Hospital, to the Chair of Clinical Medicine and Therapy. Both are extremely well qualified. The Committee considered that a starting salary of 3,000 rupees per month should be provided, with a deduction of ten percent once a house is found for each. The appointments should be full time, with no private or consulting practices. |
