TitleLetter from Charles Thomas Leycock, 3 St. Peter's Terrace, Cambridge, to William Bate Hardy, the Secretary, the Royal Society
Date14 February 1921
DescriptionOn the claim of Messrs. A.T. [Albert Theodore?] King, F.A. Mason and Samuel Barnett Schryver, for a reward in developing a new manufacturing process for the production of b-Eucaine. He has read the letters and specifications sent by Hardy and has shown them to Professor Lowry and to Sir William Pope. All are agreed that the claimants have made some improvements and have had some expenditure. They have placed the reward at £300. He suggests that the matter be referred to Professors Perkin and Thorpe. If they are of the same opinion, it should not be necessary to call the whole commitee together. As Sir William is no longer a committee member, he has expressed his views in a separate letter, enclosed.
