Minutes of he last meeting were read

Discussed a plan and an estimate of £111-0-0 for building a Furnace at the Royal Institution, and resolved
1. ' that the Sub-Committee be empowered to contract with Mr Ramsey for building the same, within a specific time with such alterations as on further consideration they shall deem necessary, provided the expense shall not exceed the above mentioned estimate.
2. that the Sub-Committee be empowered to make such experiments as they shall see occasion, reporting the same and their results to the General Committee. '
