Minutes of the last meeting wereread
Read the reply of Mr [?] to the letter sent by the Secretary as agreed at the last meeting
Resolved:
1. Mr Lubbock's name to be added to the Committee by the Council
2. Captain Sabine to be asked for answers to the inquiries he was asked to make by the Committee the previous year
3. Mr [?]'s thermometer cannot be purchased by the Committee unless he communicate at the same time the method he employed in the construction of it: and that he be informed that on his compliance with this condition, the Committee is willing to order the purchase of the thermometer in question.
4. the Assistant Secretary be instructed to order a thermometer from Mr Dollond and another from Mr Jones 'agreeably to the directions laid down by the last Committee. '
