The death on 25 January 1968 of Professor J H Taylor, former President of the International Association of Sedimentologists, was recorded with the deepest regret. Members of the subcommittee stood in tribute.

It was agreed tht the Organizing Committee of the 7th International Congress of Sedimentology, which had been appointed as a subcmmitee of the British National Committee for Geology, had completed its task, and it was -
Resolved - to recommend to the British National Committee for Geology that the subcommitte, having completed its task, be dissolved.
