Resolved - That a Sub-Committee be appointed to examine and report on the 'Project of the legend for Tectonic Maps of the Ocean floor and to consist of the following members: Dr J C Stubblefield (Chairman), Dr R W Gindler, Dr M N Hill, Dr A S Laughton, Professor W B R King, Professor W F Whittard And the Hydrographer of thre Navy or his representative.

Resolved - That it be a recommendation to Council that a block grant of up to £300 be made available from the Royal Socirety funds towards the expenses of sending a British delegation to the 3rd General Meeting of the International Mineralogical Association to be held in Washington from 12 to 30 April 1962; and that the allocation of this grnt be referred to a Sub-Committee consisting of Professor L Hawkes (Chairman), Professor J H Taylor, and Professor L R Wager.
