The Chairman welcomed Dr A W Woodland, professor T N George, Mr E C Appleyard and Dr P J Hunter whom he had invited to attend in connexion with discussions on the forthcoming UNESCO Meeting in Paris on the International Geological Correlation Programme.

The minutes of the meeting ot he National Committee on 25 June 1971 [NGL/14 (71)] were confirmed after the name of Dr H W Ball had been added to those present.
