Agreed to hold the next meeting in time to consider the agenda for the 1984 IUGS Council meeting, and to enquire of the IUGS Secretary General when he expected to send that agenda to national Committees.

Minute 5 (a). Geological Map of the World Subscription - That the UK should continue to subscribe $1500 per annum to the CGMW until the Commission produces a bnudget for examination by the Committee

Minute 7. Relations with Spain - That [in view of he rejection by the CNG of the draft agreement on geological reserch and training visits to Spain] the necessary financial provision be made to support the visit to Paris of up to three representatives of the Society for mutual exchanges of information with representatives of the Franco-Spanish and German-Spanish joint geological working groups.
