1. Minutes of meeting held on 29 November 1961 amended and confirmed

2. Report from the Taxonomy Committee to Council - draft of report prepared by the Chairman and Professor H Godwin [CT/8 (61)] previously circulated asking for comments, commentary by Chairman on draft report [CT/2 (62)] circulated to the committee members on 13 March 1962 and a second draft buy the Chairman of the provisional basis of the Report [CT/1 (61)] circulated on 13 March 1962. Agreed on the format of the final report; committee went through the second draft, and after more suggetions fr redraftng agreed to continue at a meeting on 26 September 1962.

3. X Pacific Science Congress - noted resolution No. 19 of the Official Resolutions of the X Pacific Science Congress which had been referred to the Committe ' The effectiveness of research in all branches of botany and zoology depends upon rapid and accurate identification of plants and animals. Identification, in turn, depends upon sound taxonomic research, which is based on collections. Most collections are inadequately supported and lack adequate curatorial care. '
