Matters discussed;
1. Minutes of meeting on 29 January 1965 confirmed
2. Grants for the International Congress of the History of Science 1965 - grant of £1440 from the Council of the Royal Society agreed and allocated [allocatrions and changes listed]
3. UK Delegate to VII General Assembly of the History Division of IUHPS agreed to nominate Professor W D N Paton, Dr A C Crombie, Mr F R Maddison and Dr J Ravetz
4. Teaching of the History of Science and Technology - discussion of Dr Ravetz's survey, agreed Dr RAVetz to provide a factual summary of 2000 words for submission to 'Annals of Science' and 'Nature or 'The New Scientist'.
5. XI International Cngress of teh History of Science and VII General Assembly of the History Division of IUHPS
6. IUHPS Commission on Historic Scientific Instruments
7. British Catalogue of Historic Scientific Instruments - proposal favourably received by the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers, joint committee to ba appoionted to consider this further.
8. History of Oceanography - progress on report on history of marine science in Britain by Dr G E R Deacon, agreed he is to be asked to recast the report slightly for submission to the Goldsmith's Company.
9. Memorandum by Mr Clausen - resolved that it be a recommendation to Council that, notwithstanding the title of the History Division of the International Union for the History and Philosophy of Science to which the Royal Society adheres, the name (and terms of reference) of the British National Committee for the History of Science be changed to the British National Committee for the History fo Science, Medicine and Technology.
