Minute of Council of 26 October 1871, establishing the Committe and its terms of reference was read.

A R Wallace added to the Committee

Admiral Richards and Dr Carpenter were asked to prepare a draft report by 30 November for the Committee following discussion as to the objects and conduct of the Expedition.
