Resolution of Council was read, together with the letter from the Admiralty of 2 March 1872 to which it referred. re provision of a ship and suggestions for scientifc equipment and staff.
Committee added Dr Allman to the Committee.
Committee was informed that £2000 assigned to the salaries of civilian staff.
Resolved that Dr Wyville Thomson to be Director of the civilian scientific staff, and to be paid £1000 |
