Description | Minutes of a committee constituted to consider supply of drugs and forge industry collaborations during wartime. Percy F Frankland FRS, Sir William Ramsay, Sir William Crookes, Sir Henry Hallett Dale were among the members and 37 institutions offered the services of their chemistry labs toward the production of drugs and medicines. The Committee also concerned itself with the issue of war badges, assessing the applications of chemists for active service exemptions on the grounds that they were engaged in essential war work. |
