1. Read and confirmed the minutes of the last meeting

2. Discussion continued on the draft report to the Council, and a final draft was approved and adopted. ' The Committee appointed to take into consideration the letter from the Royal Society of Victoria, and to report thereupon to the Council, beg leave to state that in their opinion it is desirable that the Royal Society should be brought in some way into relation with Societies in the Colonies and Dependencies of Great Britain having for their object the advancement of natural knowledge. They have further considered at some length the best way of establishing such relations, and have ventured to embody their decisions in a draft of statutes which might be added to the statutes of the Society, believing that the President and Council would find such a draft the most convenient form in which to receive the results of the Committee's decisions. ' Statutes listed. [Printed copy of report pasted into the minutes] The Secretary was directed to draw up a report explaining that the above draft embodies the decisions of the Committee.
