Matters discussed 1. Read and signed minutes of previous meeting
2. Read minute of Council having reference to the Report of the Committee of of 21 January 1902 'Resolved - That the Report be received, and the recommendations of the Committee be adopted; and that Sir Michael Foster be appointed delegate of the Royal Society upon the International Council, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee.'
3. Proposal by Dr Thorpe, Seconded by Mr Kempe, 'Resolved - That Mr Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society, be requested to act as Secretary to the Committee at an honorarium to be hereafter determined.'
4. Resolved 'That application be made to the International Council for authority to demand, in accordance with Regulation IV.4, an annual contribution of 200 francs from each consitituent Academy.'
5. Discussed, and deferred, question of election of the British Academy for the Promotion of Historical, Philosophical and Philological Studies into the Association.
6. Discussed correspondence between the Academy of Sciences at Paris and the Royal Academy of Berlin on the question of the publication of the works of Leibnitz, and resolved to defer the matter pending receipt of further communictions from Berlin.
7. After reading and discussing the report of the Marey Institute Sub-Committee, it was ' resolved - That the Report be referred back to the Sub-Committee for further considertion'
8. Further resolved 'That Mr Kempe and Professor Rucker be added to the Sub-Committee.' |
