Sir George Richards was added to the Committee and attended the meeting.

Minute of Council meeting of 22 February 1894 appointing the Committee after receiving a letter of 20 February 1894 from Clement R Markham, President of the Royal Geographical Society to the Secretaries of the Royal Society, was read

Agreed; -
1. Captain Creak, Professor Rucker, Mr R H Scott and Captain Tizard should be added to the Committee
2. Captain Wharton requested to prepare a draft statement of the scientific advantages and objects of such an expedition, to be considered at the next meeting of the Committee

Committee adjourned to Tuesday 24 April 1894
