' The Treasurer drew attention to the correspondence in 1887 between the Agent General for Victoria and the Colonial Office a to the co-operation of Australia in the proposed expedition.

Read - two Memoranda by Sir G H Richards [contents not listed]

Captain Creak, Professor M Foster Professor Rucker and Captain Wharton were appointed a Sub-Committee to draw up a report, which should be circulated among the member for the Committee, and after approval by them should be laid before the President and Council. '
