The Secretary reported he had contacted Professor Armstrong, Professor Clifton, Captain Creak, Mr F darwin, Professor G W Darwin, Profesor Dunstqn, Mr Dryer; Professor Fitzgerald, Sir W H Flower, Professor G C Foster, Mr Gardiner, Sir A geikie, Mr Glazebrook, Mr Gotch, Professor Judd, Mr Langley, Professor Sapworth, Professor Lodge, Professor McKendrick, Dr Muller, Professor A Newton, Professor Poynting, Professor Reynolds, Sir Henry Roscoe, Dr Russell, Professor Schafer, Professor Schuster, Professor J J Thomson, Professor Tilden, Professor Thorpe, Professor Vines, Professor Weldon, and Dr Woodward.

Resolved;
Fund should be devoted to Physics and Biology respectively, either to investigations which require to be repeated or the development of some specified continued research

Proposed by Professor J Burden Sanderson and seconded by Professor Rucker that ' the application of the first triennial instalment be for biological purposes' and agreed.

Proposed by Profesor J Burden Sanderson seconded by Profesor Foster that ' the first instalment be employed for continuiong the enquiries undertaken by the Water Research Committt, but from a pathological point of view, under the direction fo the same Committee. Agreed.

Proposed by Treasurer, seconded by Lord Rayleigh that 'His Excellency Dr Gunning be informed of the manner in which it is proposed to apply the funds from the Trust. ' Agreed.
