DescriptionPresent at the meeting: Dr Arthur Keith in the chair, at the request of the members present; Mr W B Hardy; Dr A C Haddon; Sir James Frazer; The Reverend John Roscoe

1. Read the minute of the Council meeting on 30 November 1918 appointing the Committee. Resolved;
a. £350 to be placed at Mr Roscoe's disposal from the Mackie Fund for his expedition's preliminary outfit
b. Mr Roscoe to have power to dispose of his outfit at the end of th expedition for the benefit of the Fund.

2. Agreed Lord Milner, Secretary of State for the Colonies, be invited to join the Committee, and Mr Mackie and Mr Henry Balfour be co-opted as members of the Committee

3. The name of the expedition to be ' The Mackie Central Africa Ethnological Expedition '

4. Dr Keith to be Treasurer of the Mackie Fund

5. Dr Keith and Sir James Frazer asked to prepare a statement on the subject of the expedition for press publication.

6. Mr Roscoe submitted a draft itinerary for two years, which was approved and he asked to put it in writing and submit to the Committee at a later date.

Also pasted on left hand side printed extracts from Council meetings of 18 October 1917, November 1917, 6 December 1917, and 30 November 1918 concerning an expedition proposed under the Reverend John Roscoe to investigate the tribesof Central Africa, particularly those of the Uganda protectorate, expenses to be met out of a sum of £1,500 placed at the disposal of the Royal Society by Mr P Jeffrey Mackie.
