Ordered that Mr Bernhard, Astronomy Professor at Oxford, be granted his request to Mr Hook for the loan for one month of a Diogenes Laertius and of a Coptic Psalter from the Library bestowed on the Royal Society by the Earl Marshall, and giving a Bond of one hundred pounds to return the books at the end of the month from the time of this Order.
Ordered that Mr Hook to take care to have the catalogue of the Arundel Library completed within a month, and to have a duplicate made.
The Lord Marshall took the list of nobles in arrears; namely the Duke of Buckingham, Marquis of Dorchester, Earl of Dorset, Earl of Northampton, Earl of Peterborough, Earl of Carlisle, Lord Yarmouth, Lord Cavendish, and Mr Edward Howard.
The Lord Marshall named Mr Thomson and Mr Nelthrop as very good men to put the £400 legacy to good use at six per cent.
