' Mr Barret was sworn of the Council.
Dr Thorpe, Mr Petiver, Mr Waller, Dr Sloane, Dr Halley, and Mr Burnet were appointed a Committee to take Care of the due Placing of the Curiosities in the New Repository built by Mr Waller.
The Council desired Mr Waller to lett the Cellar under the Repository for as much as he can.
Dr Thorpe was ordered to go to the Vestry at St Brides, and complain of the over-rating of the House of the Society in Crane - Court.
The Council considering the Building of the Repository by Mr Waller, with the additional Cellar and Ornaments, beyond what was intended, which had cost him Four Hundred Pounds, agreed to give him Three Hundred Pounds, and to Enter his Name as a farther Benefaction of One Hundred Pounds. It was Ballotted for Whether the Council should order the Three Hundred Pounds agreed to be paid him, and that the Treasurer should pay him, he giving a Discharge in full for the Building the Repository, so soon as he is enabled to do it. This was carried in the Affirmative, Nemine contradicente.
Mr Waller wa desired to write to any Persons in Arrear to the Society, whom he should think proper, to desire them to pay their Arrears. ' |
