' Mr Aston, Dr Harwood, Sir Berkley Lucy, and Mr Balle were sworn of the Council.
Signor Bianchini and Count Baldini were proposed, ballotted for, and approved of to be Members of the Society.
It was ordered, that the Lord Bolingbroke should be waited on by the President and such as he should desire of the Members of the Society, to know of his Lordship the most dutifull manner of Thanking the Queen for her last Grace and Favour to the Society, in taking their Approbation of Invention and ordering Admiralls, Sea-Officers, Ambassadors, and forreign Ministers to receive their Directions in what may be done for their Service beyond Sea.
Mr Waller and Dr Harwood were desired to take care of the Cellar, to lett it to whom they can, and to make an Agreement about the late Tenant.
It was Ordered, that Dr Thorpe should make a Copy of all Passages in the Council-Books relating to the Library in order to lend some Books to the Earl of Sunderland.
It was Ordered by Ballotting, that the Treasurer pay the Charges of Printing the Commercium Epistolicum lately ordered to be Published by the Society. ' |
