' Dr Harwood and Dr Douglas were Sworn of the Council.
The Council entered into a Debate about Mr Thomas's Place whether they should resolve it to be Vacant and Concerning the Qualifications requisite in a Successour and refered the farther Consideration thereof to the next Council.
Sir James Thornhill, Signor Nicholo Ayerbe d'Aragona Principe de Cassa, Mr D'Auteny, Dr L Duc, Mr Simon Degge were balloted and approved for Candidates.
Sir Hans Sloane proposed that it would be for the Service of the Society to desire the Reverend Mr Moses Williams to take care of Mr Thomas's Goods for Some time till the Council have agreed upon a proper person to Succeed him, and he was accordingly called In and Promised to comply with the request of the Council.
