' Ordered and resolved that E Halley as Clerk doo Constantly and of course attend at Councells of the Society and be alwais summoned and do there take minutes sitting uncovered at the lower end of the Table, but to withdraw when particularly ordered.
Ordered that Halley do inquire and satisfie the Councell what Inventorys of the Societys papers were made when they were taken into Charge of Mr Hook and Mr Aston.
Ordered that E.H. Bring in an account of what he finds -ing [?] of the Societys books and papers, and that he enquire after them.
Ordered that E.H and Mr Hunt make a list of the things in the Repository: and that Mr Hunt have notice of this order in writing, and that Mr Hill and Halley desire Dr Grew to doe for the Society what he promised, in order to making a Catalogue of the Repository first and that that then Mr Hunt and Halley continue and perfect the list.
Ordered that at the next Councell the matter of the Transactions be Considered.
Ordered that Sir John Hoskins, Dr Gale, Dr Lister, Mr Hill, and Dr Tancred Robinson be a Committee to consider of the disposall of the Book of Fishes.
Ordered that against the next Councell the Members come prepared to give their thoughts, about the means of making Experiments in a Philosophicall method.
Sir Robert Guordon having been proposed Candidate by Sir Christopher Wrenn [Wren], was approved by the Councell, to be proposed to the Society for Election. ' |
