' Dr Lister at the desire of the Councell declared that the order for printing no more thatn 500 of the Book of Fishes, was given by the direction of the Committee, to whom that business was referred. Dr Lister said likewise that it was himself, that had bought the plates, and agreed for the price of Graving.
As to the paper Mr Aston declared that he brought one Mr Mills a Stationer, to Mr Hill, who promised he should be paid for the paper of the Book, it being to be the same paper, with that on which Dr Plotts history of Stafford Shire is printed, and to be afforded at 7 shillings per Ream ; but that that parcell of paper not holding out, it had been supplied with a better sort for which he was to have 8 shillings and 6 pence per Ream.
The Councell being of an opinion that it was high time that the mony due for the paper, printing and other charges of the Said Book should be paid, Ordered that the Committee appointed on the 13th January last for Auditing the Treasurer's accounts do meet on Wednesday next, before eleaven of the clock in the morning, and do make a report of the State of the Societys Cash, to the Councell then to sitt.
