' Dr Grew and Dr Sloan were sworn of the Councell.
Mr Waller reported that he had not done anything in relation to Mr Cramer and Mr Sharp by reason that E Halley was returned to London and entred again into his Place as Clerk to the Society.
Sir John Hoskyns proposed from Mr Boyle that a proper person might be found out to discover Plagiarys and to assert Inventions to their proper Authors, whereupon it was put to the Question by Ballot, whether the Councell were of opinion that it would be a usefull work, if such a person could be found : And it was carried in the Affirmative.
A Discourse arising about publishing the Philosophicall Transactions again, it was referred to the next Councell to determine thereof : E. Halley not being now present.
Dr Slare proposed Dr Dolans chief Physition [Physician] to the Landgrove of Hesse for a Candidate : and he was ballotted and approved for Election.
Mr Hunts Salary for half a year being 20 pounds was allowed and signed by the Vice President. ' |
