' In considering of a proper Method to preserve the Curiosities of the Repository It was proposed That the parts of Animals which are capable of it Should be Varnished. That the preserved Bones Should be cleaned and Skeletons mended if not remounted. That the Animal Stones Should be affixed to Boards covered with Glass So as not to be handled. That the Shells and Fossils Should be carefully cleaned and laid up in Cabinets with drawers, And that those whose Size will not admit of Drawers Should be placed behind Glass Doors. ' |
