' Sir John Evelyn, Mr Hadley, and Dr Halley were Elected to be joyned with the President and Secretary to make the Committee on the part of the Council for Auditing the TReasurers Accompts of the present Year.
Mr Hauksbee delivered the following accounts of the present State of the Societie's Rents Mr Thomas Peshtil's rent of £60 per annum is Cleared to Michaelmas 1730 Mr Thomas Savil's rent of £37..10..0.. per annum is Cleared to Michaelmas 1730 Lord Abergavenny's rent of £24 per annum is Cleared to Michaelmas 1726 William Marshall Esq's rent of £27 per annum is Cleared to Michaelmas 1728 Mr John Mallory's rent of £24 per annum is Cleared to Michaelmas 1729 Which account being read, Mr Hauksbee was Ordered to gather in the Arrears which are due as Soon as possible.
Mr Theobald produced Some bills for Work done in refitting up the Repository, Viz : A bill for Carpenters Work by Mr Phillips Amounting to £103..18..5 and a half pence The Bricklayers Bill for £0..17..11 Masons Bill for £00..07..6 Painters Bill for £11..12..0 Which Bills being examined and Some alterations and abatement being proposed and approved by Ballot, they were Severally ordered to be discharged in the following manner-
Ordered That the Small Press charged in the Carpenters bill at Two Pounds be returned back as not being of any use to the Society, and that the Sum of one Hundred pounds be paid to Mr Phillips in full discharge of his Bill he consenting to accept the Same.
Ordered That the Masons and Bricklayers Bills amounting to One pound five Shillings and five pence be paid.
Ordered That the Sum of Ten pounds be paid to the Painter on condition he accept the Same in full discharge of his bill.
Mr Hauksbee deilvered a bill of Fifty three pounds Six Shillings and five pence for Salary to the 11 of October 1730 and for Writing Minutes which being put to the Ballot and approved The Said bill was Ordered to be paid.
The President proposed That a Gratuity of Ten pounds Should be made to Mr Machin as Secretary over and above the usual Annual Allowance, in consideration of the extraordinary Service of the present Year, which being approved by Ballot it was Ordered That the Sum of Sixty pounds be paid to Mr Machin for the Service of the present Year.
