' A letter from Mr Tempest with a promise to pay his Arrears when he comes to Town was read.
The Case of the Arrears being taken into consideration, The Solicitor was Ordered to write to Owen Brigstoke Esq and to Acquaint himThat his Bond is to be put in Suit, unless he immediately discharge his Arrears according to the Orders of Council.
The Solicitor was also Ordered to give the Same Notice to the following Members.

Mr Hauksbee was ordered to write to Dr Cheyne at the Bath and to John Knight Esq at Gosfield Hall in Essex concerning their Arrears.
He was also ordered to Send a Letter to Mr Mac Laurin at Edinburgh with the orders of the 3 of February 1729 inclosed, and to acquaint him that the Council are contented he Should Still have the Liberty to partake of the Benefit notwithstanding the Time is Elapsed.
He was Ordered to make a Demand of the Arrears from Dr Douglas and Mr Earl, and to report the Answers.
He was also Ordered to delilver to Mr Cheselden a copy of the Minute of the 15 July 1714, expressing the Conditions upon which he was Exempted from payment, and to let him know That the Society hope he will continue the communication of his discoveries.
A Question was put Whether Mr Conduit shall be exempted from Contribution and have liberty to take up his Bond, in consideration of his Valuable present of Medals, which was carried in the Affirmative.
A Question was put whether Dr Richard Robinson shall be readmitted Fellow upon his payment of the Sum of five pounds and upon his giving Bond for Contributions as usual, which pasit in the Affirmative.
Mr Slains had leave to be present, who acquainted the Council That he was wlling to be the Society's Tennant for the House in Crane Court on condition he may have a Lease for Seaven Years at £24 per Annum: and That Allowances be made him of one quarters Rent for repairs; which being taken into consideration was Agreed to.
Dr Stacks Bill for Copying the Register Book amounting to £16.13.8 was put to the Ballot and Ordered to be paid.
It was proposed as a Matter which would be of Service to the Society to have all the papers before the Meetings read in the English Tongue, the consideration of which was refered to another Council.
Ordered That the Committee for inspecting the Repository lay the Minutes of their proceedings before the Next Council. ' |
