Description | ' Present at a Council held at the President's house at Bloomsbury, The President, The Duke of Richmond, Mr Collinson, Mr Rand, Mr West, Mr Wollaston, Mr Hadley, Dr Mortimer, Mr Machin.
The several answers from the Members in arrears to the circulatory Letter by Order of Council, being read over, and their several Circumstances duly weighed and considered; it was agreed and resolved: That Mr Tyler be ordered to stop Prosecution against the Bond of Kingsmill Eyre Esq, in consideration of his present distresses, and in that he had paid his Contributions as long as he was able. And that Dr Robert Bankes, William Fellowes Esq, Mr Freke, Dr Hartley, the Earl of Morton, Dr Nicholls, Mr Ranby and Sir Thomas Robinson, be dispensed from their future Contributions and have liberty to take up their Bonds ; upon condition they make up thier former payments, exclusive of the Admission Fee, to the Sum of twenty five Pounds, on or before the first day of August next.
And that Mr Tyler be directed to proceed against the Bonds of Mr Belshier, Sir William Billers, Mr Byrom, Dr de Castro, Mr Francis Drake, Mr Nourse, and Mr Robins, : unless they take care to discharge their several Debts to the Society within a month after the date of this Order : and Mr Hauksbee was ordered to give Mr Tyler Directions accordingley.
It was agreed by Ballot and ordered, that Mr Miller, in consideration of his valuable Presents to the Society, shall be hereafter discharged from Contribution, and have liberty to take up his Bond. ' |
