3. Captain William Wilson of the East India Company, attending in person, gave information on materials and workmen at Bencoolen [Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia]
$. Resolved, that a Letter of Thanks be written by Dr Morton to the Chairman of teh Court of the Directors of the East India Company. [Copy of letter listed in the minutes]
6. Ordered that Mr Bird of The Strand to inspect Mr Ellicott's clock and report on it to the Council
7. Resolved ' that Mr Short, who is in the Counctry, be now written to, desiring him to Send up the necessary order, to expedite the additional Telescopes directed by the Society. ' |
