2.1 Letter from Mr Sulivan, Chairman of the Court of Directors of the East India Company received 13 October 1760
2.2 Letter from Robert J:ames, Secretary of the East India Company of 16 October 1760 offering assistance of various kinds to the expedition

3. Captain William Wilson of the East India Company, attending in person, gave information on materials and workmen at Bencoolen [Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia]

$. Resolved, that a Letter of Thanks be written by Dr Morton to the Chairman of teh Court of the Directors of the East India Company. [Copy of letter listed in the minutes]

6. Ordered that Mr Bird of The Strand to inspect Mr Ellicott's clock and report on it to the Council

7. Resolved ' that Mr Short, who is in the Counctry, be now written to, desiring him to Send up the necessary order, to expedite the additional Telescopes directed by the Society. '
