Letter of thanks received and read from the Trustees of the British Museum for the Transactions sent to them.
James Burrow moved, and resolved unanimously ' that Mr Waddington one fo the Society's Observers being now returned vrom St Helena, a Letter of Thanks from the Council be written to the Court of Directors of the East Indies Company, by C Morton Secretary, for the favours conferred on the Society's Observers, Mr Maskelyne and Mr Waddington, in the Voyage, and at St Helena. '
Ordered by ballot the Treasurer pay bills from Mr Ellicott, MrMaskelyne, Mr Richardson, salaries of Mr Hauksbee, the two Secretaries eith a gratuity, and salary of Dr Parsons
Ordered a gratuity of ten guibeas to Dr Morton for ' his extraordinary trouble and particularly his assiduity in the late applications to the Admiralty, in relation to the Society's observers who are gone to the Cape of Good Hope. '
