Minutes of meeing on 27 May 1762 read

Letter read from James West Esq Vice President FRS to Charles Morton FRS concerning the ' delivery of the President's Letter, and other papers lately delivered to the Duke of Newcastle, relative to the Second Eight Hundred pounds granted by his late Majesty for the Observation of the Transit of Venus; with Mr West's Opinion, that the Society's claim is so just , as to leave no doubt of its Success with the present first Commissioner of the Treasury. '

Resolved, ' that the Several accounts of Mr Charles Mason and Mr Jeremiah Dixon; and of the Reverend Mr Maskelyne, be referred to James Burrow Esq and To Peter Davall Esq VP, PRS. '

Ordered:
1. 'That Mr Maskelyne deliver the Clock, which is returned from Saint Helena at the Observatory at Greenwich; that the equal altitiudes Instrments be delivered to Mr Bird; that the Sector be delivered at the Society's House Crane Court; And the remaining Instruments to Mr Short in Surry Street. '
2. That Admiral Townsend and Dr Richard Green have Transactions delivered to them
3. ' That Mr Kirkby the sollicitor attend the meeting of the late Mr Kelsal's Creditors, to claim the arrears dur to the Society. '
