Among matters discussed or noted:
1. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and signed as correct. 2. List of candidates selected to be recommended for election to the Fellowship at the annual meeting for that purpose: the Assistant Secretary authorised to communicate the list to the public press. 3. Applications for Publication Grants considered: £50 granted to Lieutenant-Colonel Godwin Austen towards the cost of a continuation of his work on molluscs of India; applications from Lieutenant-Colonel Cunningham and Hull Geological Society declined; £100 awarded to Professor McIntosh towards the cost of plates for a Monograph on British Marine Annelids. 4. Publication of future papers issuing from the National Physical Laboratory discussed and postponed. 5. Report of the Catalogue of Scientific Papers Committee, full text entered into the minutes, with an account of receipts and expenditure. 6. Four names were proposed for election to the Fellowship under Statute XIII Chapter 1. 7. Soiree Committee recommendation on the dates for those events. 8. Leave granted for copies of illustrations. |
