Description | C T R Wilson clearly had the habit of frequent writing, both to record ideas and possibilities for future experiment and also to clarify his mind by systematic think and speculation. This volume, though largely used for making abstracts of the relevant work of other scientists, contains much interesting matter of this kind. This period of writing is the same as the period of experimental work for which the laboratory records and results are contained in volumes A3 and A5. It is also much concerned with the difficult and confusing topic of the effects of metals and of ultra-violet light, and contains numerous sketches of possible apparatus and descriptions of possible experiment which might clarify this subject. |
