| Citation | John Hill Esqr Late Commissioner of the Customs, and now representative for the borough of Higham ferrers in the County of Northampton. Desiring to offer himself a Candidate for election into this Royal Society, we do accordingly hereby propose him, & upon our own personal knowledge recommend him, as a person of merit, Learning, and great Curiosity: well qualified for the Honour he desires, and like to be an usefull promoter of those enquiries which were particularly directed by our founder to be pursued. |
