Citation | The Chevalier de Baillou of Florence, Surveyor General of the Emperors Fortresses as Great Duke of Tuscany, and general Director of the works in his Galery; desiring the honour of being elected into the Royal Society: We do hereby propose him; and recommend him as a Gentleman of Learning and merit, well versed in Natural History, and very capable of becoming a usefull member and correspondent. He is Strongly recommended to us as well deserving a Seat in this Society, by our worthy Brother Monsignr Cerati of Pisa, and Several English Gentlemen our friends, who have been greatly obliged to him in their travels. |
