Citation | Don Jorge Juan of Madrid, Now residing in London, A Gentleman well versed in Mathematical and Philosophical Learning, and one of those Gentlemen Sent by the king of Spain to measure a degree of the Meridian at the equator, in order to determine the figure of the Earth, being desirous of being Elected into the Royal Society, is recommended by us as deserving that Honour, as we hope he will be a valuable member of our body. |
