Citation | Thomas Hollis Esquire of Lincoln's Inne desiring the honour of being admitted a fellow of this Society: We, whose names are underwritten, do from our personal acquaintance with him recommend him, as a gentleman well versed in several parts of polite literature, zealous in promoting all useful knowledge, and by his foreign correspondence capable of becoming a very worthy and valuable member; as may appear from the several curious and early accounts relating to literary affairs abroad, which have already been communicated by him to the Society |
