CitationWhereas Rudolph Erich Raspe Gentleman, and formerly Librarian to His Majesty at Hanover; but now Counsellor, and Professor, in the service of His Most Serene Highness the Landgrave of Hesse Cassel, is desirous of becoming a Member of the Royal Society, We whose names are under-written, do recommend Him, as highly worthy of that honor, both from his general good character, as a Scholar; and more particularly from his great knowledge in Natural History, of which He has already exhibited no ordinary proof to the Public, in testimony whereof, We have hereunto affix'd our names this first day of Octr, 1768
