Citation | The Revd George Fisher BA of Catherine Hall Cambridge a Gentleman well versed in the different branches of Mathematical Science, whose experiments and Observations on the errors produced in the rates of Chronometers at Sea by the iron in the different parts of the Ship have a place in the Phil Trans and whose observations during two Voyages for discovery [...] to the arctic circle under the sanction of Government of which he was astronomer, are now in preparation to be laid before this Society being desirous of becoming a Fellow of the Rl Society we whose names are underwritten do from our personal knowledge recommend him as highly deserving of that Honor and likely to prove a useful and valuable member |
