Citation | Major, Indian Medical Service. Professor of Pathology, Medical College, Calcutta. Distinguished as an investigator in Tropical Medicine, more especially Rinderpest, Surra, Kala Azar, Snake-venom, Cholera, Liver Abscess, and Dysentery. The results of Major Rogers' investigations during the last fifteen years (1897-1912) are published in upwards of a hundred papers in the last Proceedings and Transactions of the Royal Society and in various medical journals. His investigations, more especially those referring to cholera and liver abscessand dysentry have lead to greatly improved methods of treatment of these diseases, and to a great reduction of mortality. |
