| Citation | Ex-Lecturer in Zoology in the University of Cambridge. Distinguished for his work on the Comparative Morphology of Invertebrates and on the Mechanics of Development. On these subjects his wide knowledge and comprehensive researches have gained for him everywhere a position of high authority.
