| Citation | Has been the pioneer in the application of science to the leather industry, the founder of University teaching and research in relation thereto, the author of standard works and many papers, including important contributions, experimental and theoretical, to colloid chemistry. Is now Director of the Procter International Research Laboratory at Leeds founded in his honour by funds coming from Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Scandinavia, and from America. All Professor Procter's discoveries have been given free to the industry. |
