Citation | Distinguished for his researches on the comparative anatomy and affinities of the Menotyphla and Primates, and in particular for his illuminating work on the evolution of the brain (Proc Zool Soc 1924-1931); the comparative anatomy of the cerebral cortex (Journ Anat, 1925, 1928); and above all for the important achievement of clearing up the conflicting issues involved in interpreting the homologies of the thalamus and lateral geniculate body (Brain, 1929, Journ Anat, 1929 and 1930, Brit Journ Ophthalmology 1932), and 'An Experimental Study of Thalamic Connections in the Rat,' and the Arris and Gale Lectures on 'The Structure and Connections of the Optic Thalamus,' now being published respectively in the Philosophical Transactions and in Brain. |
