Title | Robertson, John Monteath: certificate of election to the Royal Society |
Description | Citation typed |
Citation | Distinguished for his work in mapping with extraordinary accuracy the electron distribution in a number of organic molecules of great interest by the X-ray analysis of the crystals. His success is due to his able interpretation of accurate measurements of the absolute values of the reflections, and to the most ingenious methods of observation and calculation that he has devised. His work is of increasing importance not only to physicists but also to chemists. |
