Distinguished for his researches in physical chemistry and especially in the theoretical information of the processes of reaction kinetics. His work on the theory and mechanism of chemical reactions is a notable contribution to knowledge in this field. He has published as author and joint author upwards of 27 papers and the high quality of his work is recognised both in this country and America.
From the outbreak of war he diverted all the research activities of his laboratory to work in support of the war effort and his services in the application of physical chemistry to practical problems have been of the greatest value. |
