His unclassified work directed towards nuclear test control has led to substantial progress in seismological recording and analysis; and he has developed several new systems for use on the ground or in satellites for monitoring explosions outside the atmosphere. He has developed a number of special high speed cameras which are proving useful diagnostic instruments in plasma research. He is making valuable contributions to the instrumental systems of the U.K. space research programme especially in electronics instrumentation and ground to vehicle telemetry. |
