Citation | Molly Stevens has made ground-breaking advances in the engineering of bio-inspired materials for regenerative medicine and biosensing applications. Her contributions to these burgeoning fields include the design and creation of a range of polymers and bioceramics for tissue repair, combined with a unique exploration of the cell-material interface, and the design and development of bio-functionalised inorganic nanomaterials for ultrasensitive biosensing. She has also developed powerful analytical techniques to evaluate fundamental relationships between design and function for these materials. She has been directly involved in translating her pioneering academic research into industrial development and medical deployment of these materials. |
