Citation | Professor Sir Peter Horby is a world-leading figure in translational research on epidemic- and pandemic-prone infectious diseases. Through his leadership he has (i) changed perceptions of the role of research in outbreaks and created globally actionable evidence on treatments for epidemic- and pandemic-prone infections, (ii) catalysed productive and equitable international research partnerships, and (iii) ensured that evidence informs policy and practice at every level. Whilst Prof. Horby’s research outputs have been hugely influential, his leadership over the last two decades has been transformative. |
